Our client is a family-run, medium-sized company with more than 20 sales offices worldwide and an annual sales volume of almost EUR 800 million. The company sells customized mechanical, mechatronic and electronic assemblies into the automotive industry.
To take over responsibility for all sales and business operations in France, we are looking for an experienced:
Regional Sales Manager Automotive – France (m/f/d)
Customized Mechanical Assemblies, Mechatronics and Electronics
Location: Home Office in the Paris metropolitan area or Strasbourg
In this challenging sales position, you will be responsible for managing our client’s sales and business development operations with the most renowned automotive OEMs and Tier1 suppliers in France. Your product portfolio covers a wide range of mechatronic and mechanical components and assemblies such as interior systems, body/trim components, actuators, sensors and ECUs. The role will initially be taken on as a Senior Sales Manager. Since the current holder of the position is retiring in 2026, a gradual takeover of the overall leadership is planned.
Job Description:
– First representative for all sales operations in France
– Plan and implement account strategy in collaboration with sales management. Conduct monitoring, controlling and reporting of account performance.
– Ensure healthy and growing customer relationships and drive customer satisfaction.
– Close collaboration with our client’s German HQ and other international sales offices.
– Function as a hub for market information within our client’s organization.
– Scheduled and unscheduled reporting as well as forecasting,
– Identifying and analyzing new business potential and technical applications, expanding the customer network, independently leading negotiations to contract closure.
Required Qualifications:
– Completed academic degree (ideally E/E engineering, mechatronics, industrial engineering etc.) or comparable professional experience.
– Approx. 5 years of professional experience and proven success in the sale of customer-specific components or systems into the automotive industry (ideally electronics, mechatronics or complex mechanical assemblies)
– Existing customer network with major French Automotive Key Accounts (in particular Stellantis,
Renault-Nissan, Faurecia, Forvia, etc) is a strong plus
– Strong business acumen and good technical understanding
– High degree of reliability and communication skills, intercultural skills
– Confident and convincing appearance as well as high commitment and ability to work in a team
– Willingness to travel within Southern and Central Europe
– Business fluency in French and English is a must-have, further foreign language skills e.g. German are a plus
