Our client is a market leading manufacturer of software tools and specialized tooling solutions for a great variety of engineering applications (e.g. embedded SW development, system design and test, rapid prototyping etc.). To strategically grow our client’s European business with customers from the Aerospace & Defence domain, we are looking for a Strategic Account Manager (f/m/d) to take responsibility for managing all aspects of sales, account management and business development activities.

Software tool solutions for engineering applications
Location: Munich (Home Office + regular presence in Munich)
Tasks:
- Carry full responsibility for all international sales operations with customers from the Aerospace & Defence industry
- Identify, qualify and close new sales opportunities within the allocated acccounts
- Develop and maintain intense and influential relationships with key persons, constantly grow our client’s network
- Generate and develop new business leads and opportunities throughout all engineering departments, build a pipeline of new opportunities
- Develop and maintain an accurate sales forecast
- Develop and execute a sales, business development, and marketing plan
- Conduct contract negotiations and closure incorporating commercial and legal elements
Requirements:
- Scientific or technical university degree or equivalent professional experience
- Profound sales/business development experience within the software/embedded software or IT industry
- Proven skills in prospecting and business development, qualification, market and account planning and strategy, relationship building and management, value and team based selling, contract development, negotiation and closing
- Proven history of repeatedly exceeding sales targets
- Existing network within the Aerospace & Defence industry
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in German and English
- Willing to travel
