To take responsibility for managing all aspects of sales, account management and business development activities within the aerospace & defence industry in Europe, we are urgently looking for an experienced:
Business Development Manager EMEA Aerospace&Defence Industry (f/m/d)
Locations: Munich or home-office in southern Germany
As the Business Development Manager EMEA for Aerospace & Defence, you will be responsible for establishing and expanding our client’s footprint in this critical market. You will define and implement the go-to-market strategy, identify new business opportunities, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders in the industry. This is a high-impact role that requires a strategic mindset, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to drive execution.
Tasks:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to penetrate and expand in the Aerospace & Defence sector across EMEA.
- Identify, engage and build strong relationships with OEMs, Tier1 suppliers, system integrators, and government entities.
- Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to position our client’s solutions effectively.
- Work closely with internal teams to tailor solutions to the market’s unique requirements.
- Develop alliances with key industry players, research institutions, and technology partners to strengthen our market position.
- Execution & Performance Monitoring: Set KPIs and track performance against growth objectives, ensuring successful implementation of the strategy.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or strategic growth within the Aerospace & Defence sector.
- Good understanding of embedded systems/software, electronics development processes and respective tools, measurement technology or similar.
- Ability to define and execute market entry and expansion strategies.
- Strong network within the Aerospace & Defence industry, i.e. government agencies, defense contractors, and technology partners.
- Track record of closing complex B2B deals and managing long sales cycles.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel across EMEA as needed.
