As our client continues to expand their market presence in Europe, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead their sales team as the Head of Sales for the European region:

Head of Sales Europe (m/f/d) – processors for embedded applications

Location: Munich (Hybrid)

Position Overview:

The Head of Sales Europe will be responsible for leading and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market penetration within the European territory. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills, a proven track record in semiconductor or embedded systems sales, and a deep understanding of the European market landscape, particularly within industrial automation, camera sensing and image processing applications, camera/video/security industry or automotive ADAS/HAD. The Head of Sales will manage a team of experienced sales managers and field application engineers and will ideally be based in our client’s sales office in Munich.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Develop comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives to drive revenue growth within the target industries across Europe.
  • Team Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate the European sales and field application team to achieve sales targets and foster a culture of high performance and collaboration.
  • Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify key market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape within industrial automation, camera sensing and image processing applications, automotive and security systems industries. Utilize insights to identify new business opportunities and drive product development initiatives.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders within target industries to understand their requirements, address concerns, and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Distribution Management: Oversee both direct account management and channel sales strategies, ensuring effective distribution of products and services to maximize market reach and revenue potential.
  • Sales Forecasting and Budget Management: Develop accurate sales forecasts and manage sales budgets effectively to optimize resources and maximize profitability.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with customers and channel partners to secure favorable terms and agreements while ensuring alignment with company policies and objectives.
  • Sales Performance Analysis: Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze sales data, and generate reports to evaluate performance against targets and identify areas for improvement.


  • Bachelor’s degree in E/E Engineering, Microelectronics, business engineering or related field.
  • Multiple years of experience in semiconductor or embedded electronics sales, including leadership experience.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in the semiconductor industry, particularly within industrial automation, automotive ADAS/HAD, camera sensing and image processing applications, or security systems industries.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Experience in direct account management and channel sales, ideally deep understanding of sales channel dynamics and strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and credibility with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in sales forecasting, budget management, and sales performance analysis.
